Lifebuoy Global Handwashing Day

Challenge:
As the world’s leading health soap, Lifebuoy aims to make a difference by creating accessible hygiene products and promoting healthy hygiene habits through its Global Handwashing Day initiative. And as part of its 2014 campaign, we created ‘Fight Germs with the Power of Five’.

Creative Strategy:
Build a campaign around the five most important times to wash hands with Lifebuoy.

Creative Solution:
‘Fight Germs with the Power of 5’. This campaign focused on educating the target on the 5 most effective times they should wash their hands with Lifebuoy. The campaign also found expression in ‘The School of 5’ which contained fun material to change hand washing behaviours of in schools. It included comics, posters, diaries, enrollment cards and prizes.

The campaign was rolled out through the use of school engagement and tours, trade activations and in-store activities, including competitions, mascots and a media conference.
